چکیده

Assuming that supernovae type Ia (SNe Ia) are standard candles one could use them to test cosmological theories. The Hubble Space Telescope team analyzed 186 SNe Ia [1] to test the standard cosmological model (SC) and evaluate its parameters. We use the same sample to determine parameters of Conformal Cosmological models (CC). We concluded, that really the test is extremely useful and allows to evaluate parameters of the model. From a formal statistical point of view the best fit of the CC model is almost the same quality approximation as the best fit of SC model with ΩΛ = 0.72,Ωm = 0.28. As it was noted earlier, for CC models, a rigid matter component could substitute the Λ-term (or quintessence) existing in the SC model.

Critical analysis and alternative processing of Type Ia supernovae data

Context. Type Ia Supernovae (SNIa) observations in the late 90’s were the first hints for an accelerated expansion of our Universe. Today, hundreds of objects have been observed and seem to confirm the flat ΛCDM model as the cosmological model best representing our Universe. Aims. We study the SNIa observations gathered in the Union 2.1 and in the JLA compilations. By analyzing correlations and...

A Null Test of the Metric Nature of the Cosmic Acceleration

We discuss the testable predictions of a phenomenological model in which the accelerated expansion of the universe is the result of the action of a non-gravitational force field, rather than the effect of a negative-pressure dark-energy fluid or a modification of general relativity. We show that in such a scenario the cosmic acceleration felt by distant standard candles like SNIa depends on the...

Host Galaxy Extinction of SNIa: Co-evolution of ISM Structure and Extinction Law with Star-Formation

This paper presents a mechanism that may modify the extinction law for SNIa observed at higher redshift. Starting from the observations that (1) SNIa occur predominantly in spiral galaxies, (2) star-formation ejects ISM out of the plane of spirals, (3) star-formation alters the extinction properties of the dust in the ISM, and (4) there is substantially more star-formation at higher redshift, I...

SNIa DATA TO PROBE THE COSMOLOGICAL PRINCIPLE

Recently collected SNIa data have been used to address the problem of measuring the cosmological parameters of the universe. Analysed in the framework of homogeneous models, they have yielded, as a primary result, a strictly positive cosmological constant. However, a straight reading of the published measurements, conducted with no a priori idea of which model would best describe our universe, ...

Gamma Ray Bursts: Complementarity to Other Cosmological Probes

We combine recent long Gamma Ray Bursts (GRBs) sample including 52 objects out to z=6.3 compiled from Swift Gamma Ray Bursts by Schaefer (2006) with Type Ia Supernova (SNIa), Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) and Baryon Oscillation (BAO) to constrain cosmologies. We study the constraints arising from GRBs alone and the complementarity of GRBs to other cosmological probes. To analyze the cosmolo...
